The renovated historic building is located in the center of Prague 1, on Biskupská Street behind the Bílá Labuť department store. The house features a valuable and well-preserved ornamental street façade, which represents its primary historical asset. Several high-quality interior elements have also been preserved, most notably the richly decorated stucco ceiling in the entrance corridor and a fragment of the original terrazzo flooring on the second floor. Over time, however, the building has undergone several insensitive alterations that negatively affected both its architectural expression and spatial organization.

The proposal responds to the existing condition with respect for the valuable elements and seeks to enhance them appropriately. On the ground floor, the former street-facing offices are designated for a reception desk and client service center, functions that benefit from direct contact with the public realm. The entrance corridor is conceived to highlight its most significant feature — the richly ornamented stucco ceiling. This element will be carefully illuminated, while other interior interventions will remain subdued to allow its full appreciation.

The primary interior material is cast terrazzo flooring, inspired by the preserved historical fragment on the second floor. Its seamless finish, durability, and subtle grain texture support a clean and timeless character. Combined with a grey-white color palette of walls and white ceilings, the result is a bright, transparent, and contemporary environment that respects the historical essence of the building while giving it a renewed functional identity.
