Interior Study of a Children’s Room for Two Siblings, Prague – Holešovice

The project transforms an existing shared children’s room through a custom-designed furniture element that combines the functions of a sliding partition and a storage system. The aim is to create two equal, well-lit, and operationally independent zones within the originally shared space, without visually reducing its size or limiting its flexibility.

The storage modules are oriented to both sides, allowing each child to have their own storage capacity, workspace, and personal zone. The vertical articulation of the furniture respects the height of the room and reinforces a sense of order and clarity.

The material concept works with light-toned wood and a neutral color palette that enhances the natural daylight entering through the perimeter windows. The design offers a flexible and long-term sustainable solution that responds to the evolving needs of the children as they grow, without requiring structural interventions in the apartment.
